| Our walking group got off to a great start for 2008. We managed to pick the only sunny day in a week of torrential rain. The walk was fairly level and dry apart from one low lying meadow ( see picture ) and one rather claggy clay field. Having skidded and squelched our way across, doubling our shoesize in the process, there were fortunately enough puddles left to wash it all off. Later, sharp-eyed Cynthia spotted the first snowdrops along the way. Our efforts were rewarded with a warm welcome at the Plough Inn at Great Haseley. | |
